The session is held within the framework of the NATO DEEP Program and with the support of the Operation UNIFIER.

The two-day event is chaired by Volodymyr Myrnenko, Director of the Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, with the participation of Lt. Col. Stasis Paldunas, Adviser on Professional Military Education in Ukraine, and the officer of the Canadian Joint Task Force “Ukraine” Major Julie Miley.

Opening the session, Volodymyr Myrnenko stressed the importance of creating a new effective system of military education and training in accordance with the policies and best practices of NATO member states, in particular, the use of the SAT model.

Stasis Paldunas and Julie Miley introduced the systematic approach to training for the participants, as SAT is already used by NATO countries and many organizations around the world to optimize the organization of the educational process. This model allows managers to consider the problem and develop solutions that are actually aimed at solving it, rather than masking it.

For reference. SAT (System Approach to training) is a model used by NATO member states and many organizations around the world to optimize and improve the organizations’ performance.
