Within the framework of the formation and implementation of national gender policy by the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Ministry of Social Policy together with the UN Women Office in Ukraine was organized a set of strategic sessions from 6 to 16 of July to develop a draft of the National Action Plan of Ukraine to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 1325. "Women, Peace, Security" for the period up to 2026. The event was moderated by the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy of Ukraine Kateryna Levchenko.

Lyudmyla Krymets, the Gender adviser of Commander of the the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi, took an active part in developing operational goals and objectives for the next 5 years, setting indicators for the upper levels of goals in the strategic direction of Ukraine's institutional capacity to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325.

The discussion took place in the format of a video conference. During the strategic session, the results of the work of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the National University of Defense of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi on the implementation of the National Action Plan of Ukraine to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace, Security" for the period from 2016 to 2020 were presented and were negotiated the development of gender policy in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the next 5 years.
