The 51th NATO Conference of Commandants (CoC) is started on 17 MAY 2022 by the German Führungsakademie in Hamburg.
The Commandants will address “Resilience within Education” as the overarching topic.
The Conference of Commandants focuses on priorities integral to its historical mission, which is to further the development of Professional Military Education. It also serves as a forum to foster the exchange of information and ideas, striving to improve curricula and educational methods while fostering mutual understanding.
«The Conference aims to bring together the Commandants of NATO’s and Partner countries’ national senior defence institutions to exchange information and ideas in the field of higher defence education. The CoC is a forum in which to share experiences and to develop professional military education to the benefit of the Alliance and that of our nations.» - said Lieutenant General Olivier RITTIMANN, Commandant of the NATO Defense College on the opening ceremony.
The priority areas for improving the educational process identified during the conference, in the tradition of annual cooperation between our educational institutions, will be implemented in the educational activities of the university.
