Representatives of the operational course of the Swedish Defence University made a working visit to the NDUU
On December 9, a working group of students and teachers of the operational course of the Swedish Defence University made a working visit to the National University of Defence of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi.
During the meeting, a foreign delegation led by Lieutenant Colonel Peter Liden, ex-attaché for defence of the Kingdom of Sweden in Ukraine, got acquainted with the structure and main tasks of Ukraine's leading military higher educational institution and were presented the university's educational model.
Major General Serhii Salkutsan, Deputy Commandant of the University for Academic Affairs, said that expanding international cooperation in the field of military training is an extremely important aspect of effectively resisting Russian aggression, which threatens not only Ukraine but the entire civilized world. He also noted that the visions of what the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Sweden should be and in which direction should they move are very comparable, so he expressed hope for fruitful cooperation between the higher military educational institutions.
During the working visit, representatives of the operational course of the National Defence University of the Kingdom of Sweden noted the relevance and prospects of the new approaches to the military education developed at the NDUU and discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of training highly qualified specialists for security and defence.
