Today, November 17, 2021, The National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi is hosting an International Scientific and Practical Conference on “Hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation: Ukraines experience of counteraction, consequences for Europe”. The event is co-organized by the Norwegian Defence University College.

The purpose of the international scientific-practical conference is to discuss the results of scientific research within the joint Ukrainian-Norwegian research project “Ukraine and Total Defence” based on the experience of Ukraine`s counteraction to the hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation.

The conference program includes 4 discussion panels, namely: “Military operations”, “Influence operations, sociocentric strategies of the Russian Federation”, “military-patriotic organizations and the struggle for identity” and “Information policy in defence sphere and strategic communications”.

Participants of the project group “Ukraine and Total Defence” are invited to participate in the scientific event – researchers from the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi and the Norwegian Defence University College, researchers from the Jefferson Institute (USA), researchers from the National Institute for Strategic Studies. Specialists in the field of military conflicts of a hybrid nature, representatives of other scientific institutions of the security and defence sector of Ukraine, adjuncts, doctoral students, students of higher education institutions, higher military educational institutions and military educational units of higher educational institutions also take an active part.

In total, representatives of eight countries joined the conference. Representatives of NATO and the EU, the diplomatic corps from Norway, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, the United States, Canada and Estonia, famous figures in the field of communications, NGOs and writers are also active participants in the discussions at the international scientific-practical conference.
